The Hunger and The Thirst Challenges: Feast on Your Enemies
The Halloween event brings two frightening challenges, The Hunger and The Thirst. Players will need at least one zombie or Nightstalker character to join in, but the game suggests stacking your undead squad to make sure your enemies don’t stand a chance. Plus, Scarlet Witch (Zombie) arrives a week into the event, with Juggernaut (Zombie) following soon. These characters aren’t just for show—they’re designed to mow through foes with relentless undead strength.
“Marvel Strike Force is diving into the dark side,” says Marika Hashimoto, one of the game’s developers. “We wanted to create a truly terrifying experience for our fans, and what better way than to unleash vampires and zombies into the mix?”
Vampires and Zombies: Scoring Points, Earning Rewards
Points are at stake with every action you take in the Halloween event, giving players ample opportunity to stock up on resources and exclusive prizes. Here’s the breakdown of rewards and milestones:
- The Hunger and The Thirst: Earn milestone points by completing objectives, including daily missions. Players can use Moon Knight and Agatha Harkness for extra milestone points.
- Zombie Invasion: The Undead Rise: Score points by gathering Zombie Hunter Orb Fragments and using your Dead of Night Energy. Compete for leaderboard rewards like Man-Thing Diamonds, Garlic, and Silver Bullets.
- Haunted Hour: Players earn Crimson Gear and T4 Ability Materials, adding a boost to your character’s powers, along with limited-edition costumes like Elsa Bloodstone’s Monster Hunter, Moon Knight’s Mr. Knight, and Scarlet Witch’s Wandavision.
- Sugar Rush: Satisfy your sweet tooth and push through milestones to earn candy for additional points in the Zombie Invasion milestone.
These events officially kicked off on October 21, 2024, but the scares and battles don’t end there.
Midnight Hunt: Battle for Survival
Several eerie mini-events coincide with the main Halloween lineup, such as Midnight Hunt events where players can earn more rewards and leaderboard points. Night Raid invites players to rally their alliances, while Braaains Quick Rumble asks you to unleash your undead rage. Even the leaderboard rewards carry a hint of horror, with Silver Bullets as one of the items up for grabs. This isn’t your standard gameplay—MARVEL Strike Force wants you to feel the fear.
