Did you know that Marvel is teasing something huge for Nova once again Wow The latest buzz in the comic book world is all about Jonathan Hickman’s upcoming event Imperial and let me tell you the hype is real The teaser image recently surfaced online courtesy of Marco Checchetto’s Instagram Story and it features Richard Rider’s iconic Nova helmet lying in what looks like burning rubble The image carries the phrase Jonathan Hickman presents the end of the beginning which has fans buzzing with theories speculation and a whole lot of emotions
Look at the event Hickman’s Imperial has been described as a cosmic-level saga in the same vein as his groundbreaking House of X Powers of X and Ultimate Spider-Man This agenda is bound to shake up the Marvel Cosmic universe in ways we haven’t seen before Details are still under wraps but one thing is certain this is going to be massive Hickman originally planned to work on an Imperial Guard book that never saw the light of day but it looks like Imperial will finally bring that vision to life incorporating elements of the Shi’ar Empire and Nova Corps into what promises to be a universe-defining story
Killing off Nova Again Yes you heard that right If history is anything to go by Marvel has done this before Back in 2011 right before James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy film Nova was written off alongside Star-Lord while Peter Quill was brought back in sync with the MCU Richard Rider was replaced with a new take on the character but diehard fans were left wanting more Eventually Marvel reinstated Rider but his golden era during the Abnett and Lanning years remained unmatched Now with the MCU previously planning a Nova series which has since been put on pause Marvel Comics is setting the stage for something major Could this be Nova’s ultimate farewell or a rebirth in disguise
Marvel should release more details soon but until then fans are left wondering what fate awaits their beloved cosmic hero Will this be a tragic send-off or the dawn of a new era for Nova One thing’s for sure when Hickman is involved expect nothing short of an epic ride
